migration of pestilence
otis street Project
2017

With Sondra Arkin and Veronica Szalus, this three-room installation is based on the movement of exclusively tropical diseases to the north caused by climate change. As the climate warms, diseases like West Nile virus and dengue fever, once unknown in the north, spread throughout large portions of the United States. The northern population is, on the whole, utterly unprepared for this impact.
